For this project we were given a random TedTalk and instructed to create a font and then a poster for it.
I was given the TedTalk A Magical Search for a Coincidence

Result:

This was my first time creating a full font. Since the TedTalk was a magic show I got the inspiration for the font by doodling stars, which resulted in the ‘A’. From there I decided the letters would have a thin side and a thicker side. The capital letters would be stiff and blocky, while the lowercase letters would be more round.
